Paris Hilton’s clothing line dream comes true.
Paris Hilton has enlarged her empire with her namesake clothing line, which the heiress unveiled on August 16 at LA’s trendy boutique, Kitson. The 26-year-old author, singer, perfume designer and reality-TV star met a crowd of fans at the Los Angeles event.
"It's always been a dream of mine to have a clothing line. So, I've been working on it for the past year. I love being in fashion, designing, being creative,”
E! Online quoted Hilton, as saying. The former jailbird added that one of her main objectives in creating the price-conscious line was to take her own look and "make it so my friends could wear it." The collection, which Hilton described as "really comfortable" and "really affordable," includes shoes, T-shirts and jeans. "It's just from my closet to their closets. I'm just excited about it and everyone really loves it. I just wanted to make clothes that were comfortable and fun,” she said.
The launch was part charity as well, as the proceeds from the special shopping event went to Hilton's charity of choice, Los Angeles Children's Hospital. However, the trendy affair caused chaos in Los Angeles, as police had to be drafted in to help control a heaving crowd anxious to catch a sight of the Simple Life star. Also, a lane of traffic on Robertson Boulevard was closed to accommodate the thousands of frantic pedestrians.
